TimeSolv Version 20241105 Feature Updates & Bug Fixes
Release Date: November 05, 2024
- Enhancement – Payment Provider Display and Default Bank Account Settings
The Payments → Settings → Bank Accounts tab now displays the active payment provider at the top, aligned with the default operating bank account. The “Active” column has been replaced by a “Default” column and reordered for easier viewing, with inactive bank accounts labelled as such. When setting an inactive bank account as the default, it is automatically activated, and any payment profiles associated with other providers are marked inactive to maintain consistency. These updates enhance clarity and streamline payment provider management for a smoother user experience.
- Enhancement – Copy/Move Expenses Between Matters Functionality Updated
The Expense search screen now offers a “Copy/Move” option, allowing users to transfer or duplicate expense entries across matters. For selected entries, a popup enables the input of updated details like Professional, Date, Matter, and Expense Code. Moving an entry updates the original with new values, while copying creates a duplicate and clears specific fields. Only entries with statuses New, Submitted, Rejected, or Approved can be moved, and validations ensure compatibility with budget limits, Expense Codes, Plan Tasks, and professional assignments. This feature simplifies expense management and improves data transfer flexibility across matters.
- Enhancement – Scheduled Report Email Disclaimer for UTC Time Display in New Reports
A disclaimer has been added to the Quick Schedule popup in new Reports to clarify that scheduled report emails are sent based on UTC time, not the firm’s local time zone. This update addresses a limitation that causes scheduled report notifications to follow UTC, which may differ from a firm’s preferred time zone. To enhance clarity, the message “All times are in UTC” is now displayed under the Time field when scheduling reports.
- Enhancement – Time Zone Update for New Reports Users
A patch has been implemented to ensure that existing New Reports users have their time zones correctly updated. This fix addresses previous issues where users were assigned incorrect time zones during account creation. With this update, all current users now reflect their appropriate time zone settings, improving the accuracy of date and time displays in reports. Users can expect a more reliable experience when using new reports following this enhancement.
- Bug – Scrollbar Added to Billing Chart Detail Screen in Financial Dashboard
The Billing Chart Detail screen on the Financial Dashboard now includes a visible scrollbar, allowing users to scroll through record details more easily. Previously, users were unable to view all details due to the absence of a scrollbar, limiting accessibility. This update ensures consistent navigation across the dashboard and aligns the Billing Chart with other charts that already feature scrollbars, enhancing the overall user experience for record review.
- Bug – Updated Void Payment Confirmation Text for Clarity
The text in the Void Payment confirmation dialogue box has been updated for clarity. Previously, the message prompted users to confirm by pressing “OK.” Now, it clearly directs users to confirm by pressing “Void Payment”. This change aligns with the expected text and improves user experience by making the confirmation action explicit.
- Bug – Invoice Export Permissions for Non-Admin Users
Non-admin users with the “Invoice for My Matters Only?” setting disabled can now only export invoices they have permission to view. Previously, selecting “Export to Excel” allowed them to export all invoices in the system, regardless of permissions. This has been corrected to ensure the export aligns with user permissions, displaying only relevant invoices.
- Bug – Realization Per Client Report: Matters Grouping Fixed
The issue was internally reported by QA team where the Realization Per Client report displayed multiple matters under the same client separately. The matters were shown as distinct entries due to grouping by Responsible Timekeeper. It has now been fixed and the report now correctly groups and sorts multiple matters under the same client, providing a clearer overview.
- Bug – Sorting Issues Resolved in Multiple New Reports
Sorting functionality issues have been fixed in 2 reports, including the Professional Profitability Report and Realization Per Invoice Report. Users can now sort all columns correctly in these reports, enhancing overall usability and data management.
