Timekeeper – Permissions

  • Select the Staff/Professionals tab under Account.

 

  • Select the Timekeeper you wish to edit permissions for (example below).

 

  • Select the Permissions tab.

 

  • If you wish to allow this Timekeeper to have Administrator privileges, please select the relevant box.

Note: Administrators have access to the entire system and can access Staff Member setups and the Firm’s account information. 

 

  • The Dashboard feature is basically a graphical representation of hours, amount and billing rate for the whole year. Dashboard is visible to both admin and non-admin users. Admin users have more rights than non-admin users. Firm admin can view dashboard of any non-admin user in that firm.

You may choose between the following drop down options when granting permission for Dashboard:

No Access
View Only

 

  • Select between the following options to control permissions for the Timekeepers access to your Clients:

      No Access
      View Only
      All Access

 

  • You have additional control to the Timekeepers access to Clients and Matters by selecting the ‘Access to Assigned Matters Only‘ checkbox. This means that the Timekeeper will only be able to view and access Matters that have been specifically assigned to them on the system.

 

  • The Calendar tab is available for Calendar enabled firms. This acts as project specific event organizer. Select between the following options to control permissions for the Timekeepers access to the Calendar:
  • No Access
    View Only
    All Access

 

  • Select between the following options to control permissions for the Timekeepers Time entries:

 No Access
 For Own Entries
 For All Timekeepers

 

  • The Billable Type drop downs (allowing time entries to be specified as either Billable, Non-Billable, or No Charge) under the Time Entry tab will only be available to those timekeepers who have been granted permission by the firm admin. This can be done below under the Permissions>Time field by clicking on the ‘Update Billable Type‘ checkbox:

 

  • A rate set up at the Project/Matter level overrides a rate at the client level. To grant this permission to your Timekeepers, you must select the following checkbox:

 

  • Select between the following options to control permissions for the Timekeepers Expense entries:

  No Access
  For Own Entries
  For All Timekeepers

 

  • The Billable Type drop downs (allowing expense entries to be specified as either Billable, Non-Billable, or No Charge) under the Expense Entry tab will only be available to those timekeepers who have been granted permission by the firm admin. This can be done below under the Permissions>Expense field by clicking on the ‘Update Billable Type‘ checkbox:

 

  • Select from the following option when granting Timekeeper control over the ability to view, generate, and edit Invoices feature:
    No Access
    View Only
    View/Edit
    View/Edit/Create
    All Access

 

  • Select from the following option when granting Timekeeper control over the use of the Payments feature where one can define payments, external trust entries and bank account:
    No Access
    View Only
    All Access

 

  • Select from the following option when granting Timekeeper control over the use of Documents feature:
    No Access
    View Only
    All Access

 

  • With TimeSolv Reports, you get a precise analysis of your company’s activities using your own data. Reports can be downloaded in 10 formats for ease of viewing or further analysis. Select from the following options when granting Timekeeper control over the use of Reports feature:
    Limited Access
    Limited Access Without Revenue Report
    Full Access

 

  • Our Account tab shows the account info. It lets you specify any additional contacts. You can add payment methods and also view billing history. Select from the following option when granting Timekeeper control over the use of Accounts feature:
    No Access
    View
    Export
    Import, Edit, & Create

 

  • Click Save.
